The next step is to start packing and this is usually your work. Begin to pack a few weeks in advance and start with the things you know you're not going to use until after you move. Get a marker and labels and write on each box what it contains and which room it's going to. This makes it so much easier to stay organized at the new place. To make it even easier, why not ask some helpful friends to come and help you with this part. Most people are willing to give a hand and the more of you, the easier it gets.

Leave behind things that you haven’t used in a long while and that you don't need any more. Give them away or sell them to make your DC move easier and lighter.

During the DC move, make sure you have your valuables and personal documents in a safe place so they don’t get lost.
